FAQS

How does CBD oil work?

CBD oil is derived from the Hemp plant, specifically from the phytocannabinoid called cannabidiol (CBD). When consumed, CBD interacts with receptors in our central nervous system known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS plays a vital role in maintaining balanced health, although its functions were not well understood until relatively recently. Unlike other cannabinoids, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not impair cognition or awareness. Instead, it supports the health and efficacy of the ECS, promoting overall well-being.

What is the best way to take CBD oil?

Many people find CBD oil to be the most convenient method of consumption as it allows for precise dosage measurement. To take CBD oil, shake the bottle well before use, use the included pipette to draw oil from the bottle, and gently squeeze out the desired number of drops beneath the tongue. Hold the oil in place under the tongue for at least 2 minutes to facilitate absorption through the mouth membrane. It is recommended to start with a low dose and gradually increase until reaching the desired level. The CBD Metrics chart can help you find the right dosage for you.

What conditions can CBD oil help with?

CBD oil is sought after for its ability to support homeostasis, which refers to the equilibrium of well-being. By encouraging homeostasis, many symptoms associated with imbalances can be addressed. While medications may be used to alleviate these symptoms to some extent, successfully promoting homeostasis with CBD may reduce the need for medication. There are various clinical and behavioral studies available to read, primarily originating from the US where CBD has been widely available since the 1990s.

How long does it take for CBD to work?

The time it takes for CBD to take effect varies from person to person. Some individuals may experience benefits within minutes, while others may take longer to notice the effects. It is recommended to start with a low dose of CBD oil, track your results daily using the CBD Metrics chart, and gradually increase the dosage until you achieve your desired level of relief or well-being.

What can CBD help with?

In addition to its role in promoting homeostasis, CBD is often used to support skin health when applied topically and is valued for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Is CBD good for you?

If CBD enhances the efficacy of your Endocannabinoid System, then the answer is yes. However, it is important to note that CBD is not a replacement for medications. Before trying CBD, it is advisable to learn more about why people take CBD and the conditions cannabinoids have been shown to help with. While medications have their place and significance, if you believe CBD may benefit symptoms of systemic imbalance, it is worth exploring.

What is Cold Pressing?

Cold Pressing is a natural and organic extraction method for CBD. It involves subjecting the hemp plant to high pressure to extract all the beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes it contains. Unlike other extraction methods, such as CO2 extraction, Cold Pressing is carried out at low temperatures, which helps preserve sensitive plant nutrients and terpenes. By keeping the temperatures low, the resulting CBD product retains a greater range of beneficial compounds, contributing to what is known as the “entourage effect.”

What is the entourage effect?

The entourage effect refers to the synergistic interaction of multiple compounds, including cannabinoids and terpenes, that work together to enhance the therapeutic benefits of CBD. Research has shown that extracts containing high amounts of both cannabinoids and terpenes exhibit increased pharmacological activity and enhanced therapeutic effects.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are a group of chemical compounds found in almost every plant, including hemp. They are responsible for the flavors, aromas, and colors of the plant and serve as a defense mechanism against harsh weather and predators. In humans, terpenes interact with various systems in the body to regulate important functions like mood, appetite, sleep, and motor control.

Can you take CBD oil on a plane?

The permissibility of taking CBD oil on a plane depends on complying with the usual security restrictions on maximum liquid volume allowed. Additionally, the regulations of the destination country should be considered. Most countries have a tolerant view on CBD products, as there are no known downsides to their use.

Can CBD make you high?

No, CBD does not cause intoxication. Hemp-derived CBD products must contain less than 0.2% THC, which is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana responsible for the “high” sensation. These minuscule amounts of THC in CBD products are non-intoxicating and will not induce a feeling of being high when taken as directed.

Is hemp oil the same as CBD oil?

Hemp oil can refer to two different types of oils. Hemp seed oil, derived from the seeds of the hemp plant, contains only small amounts of CBD. On the other hand, hemp extract oil, also known as CBD oil, is made from the leaves and stems of the hemp plant and contains significant amounts of CBD. To enjoy the benefits of CBD, it is important to choose products made from hemp extracts that are cold pressed to preserve the valuable compounds present in the plant.
